Event opens at 9am. Last band at 4. In between: a banked slalom that runs four and a half hours, a rail jam course designed by Snow Vibes Snowboards, and a stage that never really stops.

On The Mountain

Rail Jam

Jib session on the deck in front of the whole festival. Riders send it, the crowd loses it, awards go out at 2:45.

Banked Slalom

Four and a half hours of racing through a hand-built banked course. Fastest lines take the podium.

Live Music

Eight bands, one stage, from first chair straight through to last call. Lineup announced December 1, 2026.

Demos & Village

Ride next year's gear before anyone else. Sponsor tents, hot drinks, and a base area that turns into a block party.

Silent Auction & Raffle

Boards, gear, getaways and signed everything. Opens at 9:30, closes at 4:30 — do not sleep on it.

The Lodge

Where the whole day cashes out. Podium calls, raffle numbers, one last band, and a room full of good vibes in no hurry to go home.

Why We Ride

Brent wanted a party on the mountain — a day where his people could ride, watch bands, and put a dent in the disease he was fighting.

He got to see it happen. Fifteen years later it's still running, and it has grown into the single biggest fundraising day for the foundation that carries his name.

  1. 2010

    Brent P. Evans — an east coast snowboarder — is diagnosed with stage IV non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

  2. 2012

    Between treatments at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, he dreams up an epic snowboarding event to raise money to shred cancer. The first one runs in the Poconos.

  3. 2017

    Brent passes away at 33. The Live Like Brent Foundation is founded to carry the work forward.

  4. Today

    Carve 4 Cancer is the foundation's biggest day of the year — still on a mountain, still his idea.

The Point Of All This

Carve 4 Cancer raises money for the Live Like Brent Foundation, which helps blood cancer patients overcome non-medical barriers to treatment. Through partner hospital care teams, LLBF reviews approved requests and pays essential expenses directly to the company or organization providing the service — a utility company, a landlord, a transportation provider — on behalf of the patient.
